Nothing says Christmas like Maggie’s Instant Russian Tea Mix…well, almost nothing, Santa says it pretty well, too! Happy Holidays and enjoy your comforting cup of Hot Russian Tea!
Recipe For: Maggie’s Instant Russian Tea Mix
Ingredients for Maggie’s Instant Russian Tea Mix :
1 Cup Instant Tea (Unsweetened and No Lemon Flavor)
2 Cups Tang
⅔ Cup Sweetened Lemonade Mix (Equals 4 Scoops from Country Time Lemonade Canister)
1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Ground Cloves
2 Cups Sugar
Preparation:
Using Food Processor, thoroughly blend instant tea to a fine powder. Add Tang and blend again. Add Lemonade and blend, again. Add Cinnamon and Cloves and add Sugar on top of them and blend, for last time. Continue to blend until color of mix is consistent throughout. May need to stir and remix. Store in airtight containers. If mixture is exposed to moisture/humidity, it will clump, but it is still useable. Will make 4⅔ Cups of mix.
Serve:
Mix 3 to 4 heaping Teaspoons per 8 oz. (1 Cup) boiling water. Works best to pour water into mix.
Note: Due to fineness of ingredients, there will most likely be a powdery cloud while blending. Keeping chute to processor or top of blender covered will help reduce mess. If prone to allergies, where a dust mask during the whole process!
If you really want a screamin’ holiday drink, especially if you don’t care for eggnog… Try this Russian tea mix cold, and add a generous shot of Fireball!
The guy that put this together for the first time (that we know of) is Tony.. the drink is called a Cinna-Tone!
