As I write this page, my overly auditory and music loving brain takes over and it starts playing the song “Don’t Let Go” by the wonderfully iconic Isaac Hayes:

I do not merely think in words.

I think in music, pictures, memories, scenes, websites, stories and emotional timelines all happening at once.

For me, PetRescuesByEmily.com was never just a domain name.

It was years of work, love, volunteerism, rescue advocacy, memories, late nights, creativity, learning, teaching, family and hope all tied together in one living online space.

I cannot let this go because this story is no longer only about what was lost.

It is also about what still might be built.
